چکیده

Programming robots is a complicated and timeconsuming task. A robot is essentially a real-time, distributed embedded system. Often, control and communication paths within the system are tightly coupled to the actual physical configuration of the robot. Thus, programming a robot is a very challenging task for domain experts who do not have a dedicated background in robotics. In this paper we present an approach towards a domain specific language, which is intended to reduce the efforts and the complexity which is required when developing robotic applications. Furthermore we apply a software product line approach to realize a configurable code generator which produces C++ code which can either be run on real robots or on a robot simulator.

Creating and using domain-specific language features Position Paper

The value that domain-specific languages provide to their users is the domain-specific language features they contain. These features provide notations from the domain of interest, as well as domain-specific analysis and optimizations. But domain-specific languages are sometimes a poor means of delivering these valuable features to their users. A challenge arises when a problem crosses multiple...

Teacher Cognition on the Place of Culture in English Education in Tunisia

This study investigated the cognition of 70 Tunisian teachers on the place of culture in English education. It showed that Tunisian teachers believe that English textbooks and curricular documents are not specific about the cultural dimension of EFL. It also revealed that L2 teachers, whose mother culture is distant from that associated with L2, hold ambivalent attitudes towards culture. They a...

Attitudes towards English Language Norms in the Expanding Circle: Development and Validation of a new Model and Questionnaire

This paper describes the development and validation of a new model and questionnaire to measure Iranian English as a foreign language learners’ attitudes towards the use of native versus non-native English language norms. Based on a comprehensive review of the related literature and interviews with domain experts, five factors were identified. A draft version of a questionnaire based on those f...

Acquiring the essence of truth in educational impacts of place formation

Considering the problems facing contemporary architecture in Iran, a better understanding of the meaning of architecture has become necessary. Architecture, like language, defines and facilitates the relationship between Man and his environment. The word architecture both in Arabic (Amara) and in Latin (Architecture), attempts to define the attributes of the maker before determining the char...

Towards Domain-Specific Testing Languages for Software-as-a-Service

There continues to be a trend towards using the power of cloud computing to tackle inherently large and complicated problem domains. Validating domain-intensive cloud applications presents a significant challenge because of the complexity of both the problem domain and the underlying cloud platform. In this paper, we describe an approach that leverages model-driven engineering to improve testin...
